The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That much is true. What do we make of one piece of art depends solely on us, our personal interpretation and our inner world. In the past few days this piece, created during FLASTER 05 by Bulgarian artists Bozko has become the source of controversy in the small city of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some love it, some hate it. Some want to know what it means, the others already know. In the end it doesn’t really matter. It is ugly, it is beautiful. It means something and it doesn’t. To each his own. Everybody can decide for themselves which is the point. And whatever you decide it is ok.
For me, it is beautiful. For me, it represent the goodness in this world, something I strive for. Something worth living for. The more I look at it, the more people attack it, the more malicious their comments get the more I love it. “The eyes are the window to a soul” they say… Looking at these particular eyes, the only thing I see is goodness, kindness and love. And for that, I am grateful.
